The recent surge of VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) has resulted in a great deal of interest from large corporations as well as small businesses. This growing market is already proving to be quite profitable, but only the ability to implement this technology into larger organizations will see its true potential. A great deal of small businesses are already benefiting from this technology, and the outlook is bright for even more success to come. There are a wide range of features available for hosted solutions. Features like auto attendants, extension management, call forwarding, conferencing, call waiting, night and weekend long call, call transfer, call transfers, caller ID, call lock, call conferencing, and more. They can even offer advanced features like video calling.
Mobile phones can also be used with voip systems for small business. This is because a lot of businesses today are providing their employees with mobile devices such as Blackberrys, Android phones, and iPhones. With this in mind, it is quite possible to implement a phone system that makes use of these mobile devices to make telephone calls. One way to achieve this is by using VoIP software which can be downloaded from the internet. Software like this can make use of all sorts of mobile device and allows mobile employees to make local, STD, ISDN, and even ISD calls.
